June '09 Prima Donna Rehearsals
Rehearsals are well underway at Opera North for Prima Donna, the new opera by acclaimed singer-songwriter, Rufus Wainwright, premiering at The Manchester International Festival next month.
An opera about an ageing opera singer Régine, played by celebrated soprano, Janis Kelly, Prima Donna marks an exciting collaboration between Opera North and The Manchester International Festival and is underpinned by the talented Orchestra of Opera North.
Prima Donna opens at The Palace Theatre on 10th July and will run until the 19th.
