If you are interested in the Arts and want to learn more about an exciting and dynamic opera company, Opera North is a good place to start. We offer six one-week placements every year to people looking to gain an insight into the different roles and activities of the Company, including marketing, education and fundraising. All placements focus on administration experience only, but will give you an opportunity to observe and assist in any key departments.
In addition to the actual work experience, you will be offered:
- An informative presentation about Opera North
- A tour of Leeds Grand Theatre
- A tour of the Opera North Centre
- Subject to timetable, you could have the opportunity to observe Opera North rehearsals and performances.
We are keen to evaluate both your and our performances on placement. We can offer work-based assessments relating to your relevant study and experience. In return we would also like to receive feedback from you, to help us improve and continually develop our work experience programme.
