Exploring Opera
Opera North Education works with school pupils, students in higher and further education, teachers, community groups and professional artists to explore opera.
From taking part in creative workshops and helping to encourage critical analysis to exploring the art forms that combine to produce opera, Opera North believes that everyone can enjoy and respond to the diverse range of work the Company produces and are committed to finding new ways for individuals to engage with opera.
Opera for Families and Young Audiences
Autumn 2009 saw Opera North touring a brand new production of Swanhunter, a dark and mysterious new opera for families from the duo that brought the hugely popular The Adventures of Pinocchio (2008); composer Jonathan Dove and librettist Alasdair Middleton.
