‘Operations’ is a series of creative workshops for primary schools which accompany a small-scale opera. The children involved are given the opportunity to explore the content of the opera and experiment with the art forms that combine to produce the final performance.
By working with a professional singer and director, the children learn about the show’s plot, themes and characters as well as the main components that make up the performance: singing, drama and design. The children also try their hands at directing a singer and performing songs and scenes from the opera to their teachers and school friends.
