"Anyone familiar with Renaissance music knows that this group has attained superstardom among its ilk" Boston Globe
World class British vocal ensemble The Tallis Scholars will perform a programme put together especially for the Howard Assembly Room. Featuring two of the highlights of Renaissance vocal music; Allegri’s Miserere Mei and Palestrina’s Surge Illuminare, a poignant concert not to be missed.
The 11-strong ensemble are in high demand both in the UK and internationally, and frequently perform in the world’s most prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall, Sydney Opera House and the Lincoln Centre in New York.
This concert marks the first appearance in Leeds in five years by The Tallis Scholars, and we are delighted to welcome them to a performance venue that could have been purpose built for their exquisite sound.
This concert is now sold out.
