The Challenge

Each team was given thirty minutes to write, choreograph and costume their own mini-opera as well as create their own stage props, with the support of an expert opera professional.

Alone in such unfamiliar territory, any individual participant might have frozen. But as participants faced this unusual challenge within their newly-formed teams, they supported each other in taking risks to come up with daring ideas.

Creativity was key, as they created their own props and costumes without resources, utilising napkins, bread-baskets and any other tools they could make themselves!
