Opera North Youth Company

Opera North Youth Company (ONYC) is a 60-strong group of young people aged 13 – 19. The company visits professional performances, makes new work and develops performance skills with professional artists. Current members say that ONYC is valuable for developing personal skills and talent.  The ONYC works as an ensemble and members specialise in their preferred talent by opting to join either the Youth Chorus or Youth Artist group.

“The Youth Company is building my social skills as well as performance skills; it’s a really rewarding experience.” ONYC member
