Millennium Square FAQs

For your safety, the venue security team will be running bag searches ahead of entering the arena for all events in Millennium Square. We advise you to plan your travel arrangements in advance and arrive in plenty of time.

There’s lots of useful information to help you enjoy your night in this handy guide, including where to park and where the entry points are.

Food

Please note, you cannot bring your own food and drink (other than small 500ml water bottles with unbroken seals) into the arena. Free drinking water will be provided.

A selection of hot food will be available to purchase inside the arena along with a licensed festival bar offering beer, cider, wines, a selection of spirits and soft drinks. So if you’re in a hurry and rushing straight from work, there’ll be something you can grab inside the arena.

The Great British Weather

It is an outdoor event – there is no roof cover and there will be no patio heaters. You are advised to dress warmly as, even on a nice day, the temperature will drop in the evening.

In the case of bad weather, you are advised to pack a waterproof as no large umbrellas are allowed, and umbrellas in general may restrict the views of others so you may be asked to put it down by a steward. Waterproof ponchos will be available to buy inside the arena at all three events.

Cash machines

Please note, there are no cash machines within the arena. The nearest is near Carriageworks, however due to long queues in previous years you may want to plan in advance.

Parking

The nearest secure parking is available at The Light (accessible via Great George Street).
£8.50 between 6pm and 9am.

24 hour, 7 days a week parking is available at Woodhouse Lane car park. Price: £2 for 2 hours,
£4 for 3 hours, £6 for 4 hours, £7 for 12 hours.

On-street parking is also available. For further information on parking, please see the Leeds City Centre car parking map

How do I get into the arena?

Millennium Square can be accessed off Portland Gate / Portland Crescent, Cookridge Street, Rossington Street, Great George Street or Calverley Street with level / sloped access provided at each of these points.

Can I leave the arena if needed?

No. There are no pass outs issued – when you’re in, you’re in.

Children

Anyone aged under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics is limited to ages 14+ Jurassic Park is Cert PG.

VIP ticket holders

If you booked a VIP ticket for 80s Classical or The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics, you can collect your VIP wristband and complimentary waterproof poncho at the entrance to the VIP Bar in front of the Brodrick Buildings in the north-eastern corner of the arena. The wristband will give you access to the bar throughout the evening.

VIP ticket holders at Jurassic Park in Concert can collect their VIP wristband and complimentary poncho from staff members on the door of the Civic Hall, in the north-western corner of the arena. In addition to VIP Bar access, the wristband allows entry to the Civic Hall to enjoy free tea and coffee and use of the toilets and cloakroom.
