The first tickets for Opera North’s full Ring Cycle go on general sale from Thursday 22 January for performances at Sage Gateshead and from Monday 16 February for performances at Southbank Centre.

The Ring Cycle will return in 2016 to Leeds Town Hall, The Lowry, Salford, and Sage Gateshead, where previous instalments of the four operas which make up Wagner’s epic masterpiece, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, were performed in annual instalments between 2011 and 2014.

The 2016 tour dates for the Ring Cycle include Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, and a new collaboration with Southbank Centre which enables Opera North’s staging of Der Ring des Nibelungen to be presented in London for the first time.

General ticket booking for full cycles will open at Leeds Town Hall, The Lowry, Salford, and Royal Concert Hall Nottingham on 31 March 2015.
