Permission to take part in online activities on Zoom

Considering the restrictions brought in by the Government in response to the COVID19 pandemic, Opera North after school activities will be mostly be taking place online on ZOOM until further notice. Online safeguarding guidelines will be shared with participants at the beginning of term. If you have any concerns, please email youthensembles@operanorth.co.uk.

I give permission for my child to take part in online activities on ZOOM and will follow the Opera North guidelines

Permission to film and photograph

Opera North Education provides information for schools and individuals about the work that we do in publications and sometimes, on our website and on social media. We intend to follow the guidelines below with regard to the use of photographs, films and quotations:

Children and young people under the age of 18 will not be identified by surname.
When using photographs/films of children and young people, we shall use group pictures as far as possible.
If any parent or carer asks us to do so, we shall remove photographs/films of young people or any text relating to young people as soon as possible, and without asking for reasons.

DECLARATION:

I give permission for Opera North to use images of my child in ALL of the following:

Publicity leaflets, booklets or other printed materials
Opera North website www.operanorth.co.uk (no names will be published)
Opera North Twitter and Facebook pages (no names will be published, and we will use group pictures)
News media and/or press releases
Electronic based documents or promotional films

We are committed to protecting the privacy and data of you and your child. We will hold this information securely, to manage the individual’s participation in the group, provide pastoral care, for safeguarding and for anonymised monitoring purposes in regard to our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Child Collection (if rehearsals take place face to face)

In order to ensure that all members of the Opera North Youth Company remain safe in our care, please note that:

All members must be collected from INSIDE the venue – no child/young person will be allowed to leave the venue unattended without permission.
If you are running late to collect your child you must contact a member of the team.
If the designated parent/carer fails to collect their child and we are unable to contact them, we will contact the police to express our concerns.
If you are happy for your child to leave unaccompanied or make their own way home, please indicate this below. Please note that Opera North accept no responsibility for the safety of your child after leaving the venue if you choose this option.
