On Tuesday 21st April business leaders from across Hull and East Yorkshire joined Richard Mantle, General Director of Opera North and Professor Calie Pistorius, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hull, to celebrate the launch of a five year partnership between Opera North and the University of Hull.
A new chamber opera, Pleasure, a family tragedy played out against the backdrop of a gay nightclub, will receive its world premiere at Opera North in Leeds in 2016, with further dates in Liverpool, Aldeburgh and London.
