Are you missing live music? Or do you just need a pick-me-up?

Introducing the new concert hall – your home! Let us brighten up your day with a bespoke, one-to-one performance with a member of our Orchestra or Chorus, live on Zoom.

Get ready for a recital with a twist… There won’t be a programme in sight, and we can’t serve ice-cream at the interval, but this intimate, one-of-a-kind experience brings live music from a member of the Orchestra or Chorus of Opera North straight into your home.

Each performance will be unique and last approximately 10 minutes, and you’ll be the only person in the audience. We’ll be keeping the performer and repertoire under wraps until you enter the Zoom concert chamber; but a cappella operatic arias, jolly folk songs, poetry readings and even a marimba solo are just some of the fabulous repertoires you might be serenaded with.

There are two View settings on Zoom – ‘Gallery View’ and ‘Speaker View’. You change your View settings by clicking the icons in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

You can watch with other members of your household on the same screen, the more the merrier! However, the Zoom link should only be used on one device.

An adult must be present if a performance is booked for someone aged 16 or under.

It’s the day of my booked performance and I’m having internet issues, what should I do?

Please let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll see if we can book you in for another slot. Contact us via boxoffice@operanorth.co.uk or 0113 223 3600

Will there be other people watching the performance?

No, your performance will just be for you! There will be three people on your Zoom call – yourself, an Opera North host and a member of the Orchestra or Chorus of Opera North.
