La bohème cocktail at Below Stairs: Paris Dawn
Served with a Parisian Aromatic ‘Cigarette’.
Inspired by the cafe scenes in La bohème and the nocturnal habits of the protagonists. This cocktail uses a Cognac made in the same style as it was made in 1840 (as would have been available to the bohemians of Henry Murger’s Scènes de la vie de bohème) as its base. To this, we add notes redolent of hot coffee, delicious fresh pastries and the early morning aroma of a leafy city. A cocktail you’d sip on your way home alongside the last of the revellers as the city begins to wake up.
Priced at just £5 for La bohème ticket holders (£8 otherwise), this is the perfect pre or post show tipple at a unique bar just a few minutes walk from Leeds Grand Theatre.
