Howard Assembly Room
Welcome to the Howard Assembly Room, a modern and contemporary venue located in a beautifully restored building in the centre of Leeds.
A new arts hub for the north, The Howard Assembly Room celebrates its first birthday in January 2010, and is a special place where special things happen. With a diverse and far reaching programme, it is curated by award-winning Opera North.
From January 2010 a full Winter Season presents over twenty ‘stand alone’ performances and a month-long sound installation, in its most ambitious and eclectic programme of music, film, talks and performance yet.
Three themes; Voices, 1950s Paris and the Miner's Strike, weave through the months January - April, which also boast Twilight Concerts, a weekend of events inspired by Gilbert and Sullivan's ghostly melodrama, Ruddigore, and a superb series of workshops and special performances for families and younger audiences - including The Forest .
