“I like change. We are all constantly changing, shedding our skin, growing, blooming and decaying. And yet we yearn to relive a moment of love, of thrill, of fire and in doing so pull ourselves further from the possibilities of the present.”

Good Grief is the first new solo album in 25 years from songwriter, producer and former Suede guitarist, Bernard Butler. The album finds Butler owning three decades of work, bookended by wildly contrasting experiences of loss, joy, and bewilderment. Join us for an intimate evening with this consummate artist, delving into songs that span an entire spectrum of human emotion.

Bernard Butler is a Grammy Awardand Mercury Prize-winning songwriter. As well as his work with Suede, Butler has collaborated with artists including Sam Lee, Jessie Buckley Bert Jansch and Ben Watt from Everything But The Girl, The Libertines, Tricky and Duffy.

Support from Ned Swarbrick.
