Classical

This event has passed.

Musicians from the Orchestra of Opera North perform a delightful programme of Clarinet Quintet music.

Brahms’ much-loved Clarinet Quintet in B minor features, inspired by the playing of great clarinettist Richard Mühlfeld. Brahms was so moved by Mühlfeld’s musicianship that he came out of brief retirement to compose this Quintet, which is laced with beautiful melodies and lush textures.
