A night of English orchestral pieces in the picturesque surroundings of Ripon Cathedral.
Featuring the first public performance of Philip Wilby’s orchestration of Bliss’ Viola Concerto performed by Timothy Ridout, Coleridge-Taylor’s radiant and moving Solemn Prelude and Elgar’s Enigma Variations, this is a unique way to experience the atmosphere of the historic Ripon Cathedral, together with the captivating live music of the Orchestra of Opera North.
