The first of two concerts with Leader of the Orchestra of Opera North David Greed and acclaimed pianist Ian Buckle, Songs of Love and War is a poignant reflection in homage to the centenary of WWI.
Both Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin for piano, and Elgar’s Sonata for Violin and Piano were created from the composers’ personal connections to the conflict and are a fitting way to mark the Armistice at Dewsbury Town Hall.
