Cinema Crawl: Whiplash
Leeds Cinema Crawl and the Howard Assembly Room Present: Whiplash
Whiplash is a 2014 psychological drama about a young, ambitious jazz drummer, Andrew Neiman, who strives for perfection under the tutelage of the abusive and demanding instructor, Terence Fletcher, at a prestigious music conservatory. The film explores themes of ambition, perfectionism, and the potentially destructive nature of the pursuit of greatness. A personal favourite of the team – it’s not one to miss!
This screening is part of Leeds Cinema Crawl. Enjoy a cinematic odyssey watching four films in four venues in one crawl. All of the films are Sophomore, meaning directors second features, as this is our second year offering the Cinema Crawl.
