Come and Sing: Fauré Requiem - Workshops

If you would like the opportunity to fine tune your knowledge of the piece and meet likeminded people in preparation for the Come and Sing event on Thursday 25 February 2027, come and join us for a series of four evening chorus rehearsals taking place in the Howard Opera Centre, Leeds. Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings throughout January and February, led by Choral Conductor Christopher Pulleyn and an Opera North repetiteur.

You don’t need to be an experienced choral singer to take part, but you do need to be able to read a music score or be able to pick up music by ear and follow along with a score.

Please confirm your voice part at the time of booking.

A notes on scores

• You will need to bring your own vocal score with you on the day. We would recommend using either the Novello or Bärenreiter vocal scores for the Fauré Requiem (Op.48) – please note we will be performing the full orchestral version of 1900. For the Cantique de Jean Racine (Op. 11) we would recommend the Oxford University Press edition.
• The Requiem will be performed in Latin and the Cantique de Jean Racine will be performed in French. We

• Places for these workshops are limited and only bookable as a block of four workshops.
• This workshop package is an optional extra for any participants taking part in the Come and Sing Fauré Requiem event. You must ensure you book a separate participant ticket to take part in the Come and Sing event on Thursday 25 February 2027.
