Below you can find scores for your weekly sessions and a specific soprano playlist for each opera piece to help you practice at a time that suits you.

How to use
Find single and piano part recordings to test how you hold your own part, as well as full chorus recordings of each piece to help you progress.
Track 1 – Soprano only: Build a good foundation and practice singing your part along with Soprano members of our chorus.
Track 2 – Soprano with backing chorus: To practice your part further, try adding the rest of the Chorus into the mix. Your voice part is louder than the others to help guide you, so try and see if you can stick to your part!’
Track 3 – Piano only: Improve your independence and sing your part without any help from our singers. Check you are really confident with your part and that you can come in in all the right places!
Track 4 – Full Chorus (Tutti): For the full effect sing along with members of the Opera North Chorus to feel what it’s like to sing as part of this choir. You’ll need to be strong on your part so as not to get distracted by the other harmonies!
We recommend printing out the pieces before attending the sessions but if you aren’t able to, don’t worry – it will also come up on the screen. If you have any problems accessing the resources, contact our team at lifelonglearning@operanorth.co.uk and we’d be happy to help.
