Festival Masterclass I: Elly Ameling

Few musicians are worthy of the title ‘legendary’, but surely Leeds Lieder President Elly Ameling can wear that mantle with no embarrassment! The Dutch soprano has lent her name to Leeds Lieder since its inception, and her visits are always red-letter days. Duos from around the globe have been selected from a highly competitive entry to take part in the Festival as Leeds Lieder Young Artists. Having performed with distinction around the globe, and amassing a discography of some 150 recordings, Dr Ameling now lends her expertise to the next generation of singers and pianists.
