Haunting melodies and intricate storytelling: Katherine Priddy unveils her most ambitious musical landscape.

Katherine Priddy has established herself as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary British folk music. Her upcoming album These Frightening Machines, set for release in March 2026 via Cooking Vinyl, represents her most ambitious and sonically diverse work to date. Following her critically acclaimed previous albums The Eternal Rocks Beneath and The Pendulum Swing, Priddy has consistently demonstrated her remarkable talent as a songwriter and performer.

Known for her haunting vocals and distinctive finger-picking guitar style, Priddy has built a reputation for creating deeply emotive and introspective music. Her recent collaborations have further cemented her artistic credentials, including writing two songs with Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and a memorable performance on the iconic BBC Later with Jools Holland. She continues to prove her live performance prowess by selling out headline tours and supporting world-class artists.

The new album These Frightening Machines explores profound themes of human connection and resilience. The songs traverse a full spectrum of emotions, exploring the challenges of maintaining connections in a divisive world, and understanding our place within complex systems.
