Resonance Showcase

Join us for a showcase of performers supported through Opera North’s annual Resonance programme.

Rory A. Green (and band), Satnam Galsian, Ellen Beth Abdi with MeMe Gold & Seren Marimba, and Jonas Jones will each perform a 20-minute taster set of their latest work. The night will be hosted by singer-songwriter, composer, and storyteller Marco Woolf, who will also be performing.

Resonance is Opera North’s residency programme for global majority music creators, working in any genre, and based in the north of England. It’s an opportunity for artists to develop new ideas, to collaborate with performers from other disciplines, and to take work in new directions.

This showcase is a unique chance to see the fruits of their work, which range from jazz to Afrofuturism, and from British Asian folk music to musical storytelling.
