Join us for Sanskrati Wahane’s debut performance at the Howard Assembly Room.

A gifted sitarist from the prestigious Etawah gharana, Sanskrati is known for her deep command of raga, emotional expressiveness, and technical finesse.

Her journey began at just five, and her breakthrough came through a home video in 2016 that captivated classical music lovers across India. Her playing reflects a perfect balance of gayaki ang (vocal expression) and tantrakari ang (instrumental brilliance), staying true to her lineage while infusing every note with purpose.

A student of Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Wahane has won several prestigious accolades, including the All-India Radio National Competition and the Shri Ravi Koppiker Memorial Award by ITC Sangeet Research Academy.

She will be accompanied by Junaid Ali, one of the UK’s most promising rising stars on tabla. With a natural flair for rhythm and dynamic accompaniment, Junaid brings youthful energy and sensitivity to this special concert.
