Formed in 1974, The Fabulous Thunderbirds are an American blues band spearheaded by singer and harmonica player Kim Wilson.
The group established their sound in the Austin, Texas, blues scene, blending traditional Texas blues with harmonica-led swamp blues and rhythm and blues. Their distinct style earned them early praise and invitations to open for acts like the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.
The band achieved major commercial success with their 1986 album Tuff Enuff. The platinum-selling record went on to sell over a million copies, driven by the popularity of its title track and the single Wrap It Up.
While the band has seen numerous line-up changes throughout its fifty year history, Wilson remains the constant driving force. This performance offers a chance to experience the authentic, high-energy American blues-rock that defined their career.
