Opera North is seeking an ideas-driven Digital Content Producer to join our Audiences team.

You will create short-form video content for Opera North’s channels that tells the Company’s stories in attention-grabbing and creative ways, with a focus on engaging new audiences. Working alongside a Social Media Specialist, Paid Digital Specialist, and Graphic Design team, you will pitch, plan, shoot, and edit agile video content for social, email, and web.

The ideal candidate will be full of curiosity, fleet of foot, and experienced in delivering short-form video for social media campaigns (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) with proficiency in both smartphone and DSLR filming.

Opera North is seeking an Instrumental Learning Team Tutor (Double Bass) to join our Young Musicians Studio.

You will plan and deliver high-quality group Double Bass tuition, direct ensembles, and integrate musicianship, instrumental skills, and good technique for young people from all backgrounds. Working as part of a collaborative teaching team, you will track student progress, offer expertise to children, staff, and parents, and help committed young musicians realise their potential.

The ideal candidate will have solid classical instrumental training, demonstrable experience as a professional player and tutor, and a strong grasp of musical pedagogy and repertoire for young learners from beginner level upwards.
