In Harmony Cover Tutors

In Harmony Opera North is an inclusive, year-round, programme of high quality and engaging group music education and performance opportunities at Opera North’s partner schools, providing weekly group instrumental (strings and brass), choral, EYFS/KS1 musicianship lessons and provision in SEND settings.

Senior Electrician (Sound)

Opera North are seeking a skilled technical professional to join our team as a Senior Electrician (Sound) on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will assist with the preparation, implementation, and operation of performance-related audio, video, and communication systems, including surtitles, for our productions both in Leeds and on tour.

Working effectively as part of a dedicated team, you will ensure all activities from get-in to de-rig are carried out to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality, alongside performing regular electrical maintenance and PAT testing. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of theatre-based sound and AV work, demonstrating experience with equipment like the Digico SD12, ProTools, and Catalyst, as well as a strong understanding of orchestral micing, communication systems, and working at height.

Marketing Lead (Acquisition) – Maternity Cover

We are looking for a marketing professional to take ownership of acquisition marketing strategy at Opera North. Our 15-strong Audiences team is dynamic and fast-paced, working across touring opera, orchestral concerts, film screenings, and gigs at our venue, the Howard Assembly Room. Working with a team of experienced marketers, designers and content creators, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a talented, award-winning team.

You’ll play a pivotal role from day one, taking the lead on campaigns and projects to bring Opera North’s work to new audiences across Leeds and the North, motivating the team to continue delivering success. We’re creative, curious and data-driven, and that’s what we’re looking for from you. This is an opportunity to step into an established role and make an impact from day one.
