Freedom To Roam: The Rhythms of Migration
Freedom To Roam: The Rhythms of Migration is flautist Eliza Marshall’s humanitarian and environmental project, first conceived of during a visit to the Inner Hebrides in 2018.
The result is a beautifully crafted journey in music and film, exploring themes such as climate change, conflict, restriction and empathy.
The event begins with a screening of the documentary film from award-winning Director Nicholas Jones (A Greenlander, You Are Here). Marshall is then joined by album co-writers Catrin Finch (harp), Jackie Shave (violin) and Dónal Rogers (guitars/bass) plus special guests including Kuljit Bhamra MBE (tabla) and Robert Irvine (cello), to play the Freedom To Roam album in full – featuring bespoke video by acclaimed video designer Amelia Kosminsky.
