Brian d’Souza’s Auntie Flo live band brings together a host of talented musicians from around the world in a unique global/electronic fusion.
Auntie Flo assembles a rotating roster of international musicians: vocals from Mexico and Kenya, guitar, keys, drums, percussion and a Senegalese talking drum, who join Brian on synths and drum machines. Drawing on five acclaimed albums, the group blends world‑music traditions with contemporary electronic production, a blend praised by The Guardian and Phonica Records. Their repertoire spans the award‑winning Radio Highlife (2018) to the recent In My Dreams (I’m a Bird and I’m Free) (2024), featuring the track Green City named 2024 Track of the Year.
Renowned for boundary‑pushing live shows, Auntie Flo has appeared on main stages from Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here festival to London’s Jazz Cafe, and performed in unconventional settings from Cuban street parties to Arctic‑circle sun rituals. Their dynamic, globally sourced sound continues to redefine world‑music for contemporary audiences.
Auntie Flo will be supported by Moncaya.
