Captioned Performances

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and the government’s advice regarding social gatherings and live performance, we are very sorry to announce the postponement of our Autumn 2020 and Winter 2021 seasons. Ticket holders will be contacted directly. Read the full statement or see our FAQs for details.

Selected Opera North performances are captioned which means all the dialogue, including sound effects, is displayed on two screens either side of the stage.

Customers booking for the captioning may be eligible for discounts in some venues, so please contact the box office of your chosen venue.  They can also recommend seating areas with the best views of the screens.
