The first thing you need to do is decide which voice part you want to sing. If you’re unsure, check out our From Couch to Chorus: Which voice type? guide.
For each voice part, there are scores as well as rehearsal tracks for you to use. Find single, double and triple part recordings to test how you hold your own part and your confidence singing in harmony, as well as full chorus recordings of each piece to help you progress.
→ Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass only tracks: Build a good foundation and practice singing your part along with our chorus Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass section.
→ Soprano-Alto/Tenor-Bass only tracks: Improve harmony singing and practice holding your line alongside one other harmony part.
→ Piano only tracks: Improve your independence and sing your part without any help from our singers. Check you are really confident with your part and that you can come in in all the right places!
→ Tutti (full chorus) tracks: For the full effect sing along with members of the Opera North Chorus to feel what it’s like to sing as part of this choir. You’ll need to be strong on your part so as not to get distracted by the other harmonies!
