This learning pack offers teachers and pupils in KS2, 3 and 4 an introduction to Opera North’s production of The Cunning Little Vixen by the Czech composer Leoš Janáček.
The pack includes information about the composer, the world of opera, and an introduction to the opera The Cunning Little Vixen including: the plot synopsis, an introduction to the characters and key themes. Linking to music and drama, but also history and science curriculum, you will find interesting facts and activity ideas for use in the classroom. Feel free to get creative and adapt these activities to suit the needs of your class!

The pack includes information about the composer and librettist, the world of opera, and an introduction to the opera The Magic Flute, including: the plot synopsis, an introduction to the characters and key themes. Interesting facts and activity ideas are dispersed throughout this pack for use in the classroom which can inspire further ideas for discussion.
