A Love Revolution
Book NowThinking about how to change the world, but don’t know where to start?
Join Ladies of Midnight Blue on an Afro-futuristic journey through music, space, time, and imagination. Discover and collect ancestral symbols to unlock joy, fun and the wisdoms you hold within. This interactive family-friendly show is suitable for everyone who has a beating heart and a rhythm in their soul.
Ladies of Midnight Blue have been exploring ancestral symbols from Taino and West African Adinkra (pronounced ed-in-kra) that hold wisdoms, proverbs and tools on how to live a full life with joy for this audio-visual performance.
Hannabiell Sanders and Yilis del Carmen Suriel (Ladies of Midnight Blue) create a powerful and upbeat fusion of rhythms, weaving combinations of melodic percussion, brass, vocal chants, and mbira.
Doors open 30 minutes before the performance. Please join us before the show if you can for a colouring activity using Adinkra symbols.
Suitable for children age 6 and up.
Please note, there will be relaxed seating with mats and cushions on the floor together with tiered seats.
