Katherine Broderick & Kathryn Stott

This event has passed.

Award-winning soprano Katherine Broderick joins renowned pianist Kathryn Stott for an evening of music inspired by Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel and celebrating the 150th anniversary of his birth.

The song-cycle draws on poems by Robert Louis Stevenson and, inspired by his love of travel, the programme includes songs from some of the countries he visited as well as acknowledging his Scottish heritage and traditional folk tunes.

The performance also features a new commission and world premiere by British composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad with text by Leeds-based librettist and poet, Adam Strickson.

Presented in partnership with Leeds International Concert Season.
