To celebrate the launch of Opera North’s new free series of short films introducing families and children under 8 years old to Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals we would love to invite you to join us at the Bramall Studio in the Howard Opera Centre for an interactive movement workshop, film screening, music and crafts.
As explorers we will adventure into the wild to discover the different sounds of the orchestral world in a fun and dynamic way.
Recommended for children age 10 and under.

Aimed at children and families and based on music by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, these 6 short films follow each movement of TheCarnival of the Animals.
On Saturday 10 September 2022 a 14-piece ensemble of fabulous players from the Orchestra of Opera North present this relaxed concert for young children and their families, hosted by Gemma Woffinden, Opera North Drama Coach.
