An Evening of Britten

Friday 6 June 2025

This event has passed.

The Young Artists of the National Opera Studio perform a series of scenes from Britten’s chamber operas as part of their yearly residency with Opera North.

Discover the next generation of opera stars as they perform scenes from The Turn of the Screw, Albert Herring, Owen Wingrave and The Rape of Lucretia accompanied by the Orchestra of Opera North.

Conducted by our Music Director Garry Walker and directed by Louisa Muller, who will be making her Opera North debut next season directing a new production of The Marriage of Figaro, the evening promises psychological drama with a hint of comedy.

The National Opera Studio is a world leader in opera training. Based in London, it provides nine months of intensive training to singers and repetiteurs who have the potential to become the leading artists of their generation.
