Pop Up Orchestra: Carmen

Saturday 9 October 2021

This event has passed.

Come along and explore the musical world of Bizet’s Carmen whilst getting to know other musicians from your local area.

In this two-hour workshop for instrumentalists of all ages and abilities, you’ll learn one of the opera’s most famous arias, the enticing ‘Habanera’, accompanying a professional singer from Opera North’s current production of Carmen.

Once you’ve got a taste for the music,  you’ll work together to create your own piece inspired by the sounds and rhythms of Bizet’s score.
