International guest artists from Opera North’s autumn season enchant with a set of songs from their homelands, and others on the theme of wandering.

Leading cast members from our upcoming production of Carmen, American soprano Chrystal E. Williams (Carmen), Italian-Brazilian soprano Camila Titinger (Micaëla) and New Zealander Phillip Rhodes (Escamillo) exchange the Grand Theatre for a more intimate stage, to lead us on the journey home with song and conversation.

Direct from our Dewsbury Lunch Hour Concert, Kathleen Ferrier Award-winning soprano Katherine Broderick performs selections from Samuel Barber’s ‘Hermit Songs’, and Scottish Soprano and Opera North Vocal Animateur Marie-Claire Breen sings folk songs from Skye.

Opera North’s Head of Music, David Cowan, accompanies them on the piano.
