YMS & In Harmony Saturday Choir Summer Concert

Come along and awe at the talent and progress made by our Young Musicians Studio and In Harmony Saturday Choir. They will share a programme of music they have worked on over the past few terms with our fantastic tutors.

Our Young Musicians Studio provides young musicians in Leeds with opportunities to progress their classical music making. Established in November 2022, the Young Musicians Studio is part of the Opera North Instrumental Learning Pathway. Originally designed as a progression route from In Harmony Opera North primary schools, students who are keen to develop their musical skills and creativity further can join us on a Saturday morning for specialist training. We currently run a full Young Musicians Studio Programme throughout the year, as well as a Beginner Programme on selected instruments.

Created in January 2025, the In Harmony Saturday Choir is a progression route for any young singers that are keen to progress their learning and development within a choral setting.

We welcome anybody in Years 6-8 (or 10-13 years old)* to join us; whether you have had experience in one of our In Harmony Choirs through involvement in primary school, or you simply wish to join a fun and inclusive extracurricular choir. Involvement in the choir provides regular opportunities for collaboration with our Children’s Chorus, Young Voices and Youth Choirs, as well as regular performance opportunities in Leeds. The choir is currently free to join and sessions are led by our Children’s Choral Lead, Elena Camblor Gonzalez.
