Opera North Education aims to Excite, Enrich and Engage. We are passionate about young people’s education and collaborate with teachers across the North of England to enrich their pupils’ lives and learning.
We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to experience opera and encourage school groups to see our mainstage productions.
If you would like to know more about opportunities to access our work and how to gain support in introducing your students to opera, contact us using the details at the bottom of the page.
Seeing a world-class opera company in performance is an incredible experience. It is a great way to engage young people with classical music and introduce them to the vibrant and dramatic world of opera. These matinees have been specially programmed for schools' audiences, and will provide a truly unique experience for your pupils.
We would recommend this opera for anyone over the age of 10. It runs at approximately 2 hours 10 minutes (including one interval). Find out more about Hansel and Gretel.
