SAA UK presents: At One with Nature (with Jack Jennings and Omar Puente)
SAA UK
Indian Raga, Jazz, Improv
Book NowA rare and compelling musical experience, At One with Nature explores the meeting point between music, culture, and the natural world.
Rooted in the idea that music and environment are deeply connected, the project brings live performance together with authentic field recordings allowing the voices of the planet to become part of the music itself. Created by British guitarist Jack Jennings in collaboration with renowned Cuban violinist Omar Puente, alongside percussionist Arthur Newell and bassist Domenico Angarano the performance draws on elements of Indian raga, jazz, and improvisation.
At the heart of the project are field recordings captured by wildlife sound recordist Martyn Stewart OBE whose decades of documenting ecosystems across the globe provide a rich sonic landscape. Birdsong, wind, water, and animal calls are woven into the performance as equal musical partners shaping rhythm, melody and atmosphere. Compositions such as Jungle Train, Evening Prayer, and Spirit at Play respond directly to these natural textures creating music that is spacious, attentive and alive to its surroundings. At One with Nature invites audiences to listen differently-reconnecting with music’s earliest inspirations in forests, rivers, and open landscapes while experiencing a contemporary performance that is both immersive and reflective.
