AJIMAL, aka Fran O’Hanlon, departs from his classical training in favour of writing and exploring music by ear, with a live show taking influences from folk and electronica and encompassing elements of soaring grandeur and pin-drop intimacy. He is one of the winners of the 2020 Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition
Lara Jones is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, improviser, producer, composer and collaborator, currently the recipient of Help Musician’s UK’s Peter Whittingam Jazz Award, Jerwood Arts Jazz Encounter Fellow and Manchester Jazz Festival’s Level Up. Her latest album Lara, a piano at night, released through HPBC records, explores the depths of insomnia, and has been featured on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 3 Freeness.
Mark Slater is a producer, composer, pianist, and arranger whose works range from complex experimental electronica to delicate instrumental textures. His music is fuelled by the enticing immediacy of improvised spontaneity and the forensic manipulation of sound. His forthcoming piano album – Insula – is his first solo project (E2 Music) and features intricate textural layers and driving insistent rhythms (all recorded on his humble upright piano at home).
