Come and Sing: Mozart's Requiem Participant Tickets

Monday 16 February 2026

Book Now

Join us to perform Mozart’s Requiem as part of a massed choir, sitting in the auditorium of Leeds Grand Theatre and accompanied by the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North and professional soloists.

Opera North’s Chorus Master, Tony Kraus, will be our conductor for the event. During the afternoon, there will be a piano rehearsal followed by a rehearsal with the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North. The day will culminate in a public performance that evening.

You don’t need to be an experienced choral singer to take part, but you do need to be able to read music – or to be able to pick up music by ear and follow along with a score.

Please note:

  • You will need your own copy of the score. We will be using the Mozart Requiem Bärenreiter / Süssmayr edition. Our contacts at Bärenreiter have kindly offered a 15% discount for participants to purchase a score throughout the month of December by entering this code at the checkout: EvKrEQ via this link
  • Seating for the final performance is unreserved. Participants will be sat in groups according to their voice part and will be shown where to sit in the Stalls on the day. If you require wheelchair access or have any other Access requirements, please contact lifelonglearning@operanorth.co.uk
