Come & Sing: Mozart’s Requiem Audience Tickets

Come and join us for an evening of music making which sees participants of Come & Sing Mozart’s Requiem form a massed choir and perform Mozart’s stunning Requiem, under the baton of Chorus Master Tony Kraus and accompanied by the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North and professional soloists.

The Requiem was commissioned by Count Franz von Walsegg and remained unfinished by the time the composer died in 1791. The mass was completed by Mozart’s pupil, Franz Xaver Süssmayr. Mozart was unwell at the time of writing the requiem mass and he was also busy working on his operas: The Magic Flute and La clemenza di tito. A dramatic and emotional work, the Requiem remains one of Mozart’s choral masterpieces.
