Sadly, due to the COVID-19 lockdown in New Zealand, Connan’s US and UK and EU tours in October and November 2021 have been cancelled. We are contacting ticket holders to arrange refunds.
With his eccentric ability for mixing psychedelic catchy pop, trippy funk and experimental instrumentals, New Zealand native Connan Mockasin has made a notable reputation as a singular performer – and his live act has drawn both ecstatic raves and contemplative togetherness in seemingly equal doses.
His third album Jassbusters (2018) saw Mockasin roaming across country rock, soul and musical surrealism and in July 2021, Connan released It’s Just Wind, a collaborative album with his father Ade – birthed after Connan received an urgent message from a clairvoyant.
An impressive musician and producer, the multi-instrumentalist has collaborated with the likes of James Blake, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dev Hynes and MGMT.
We’re very excited to welcome Connan to the Howard Assembly Room stage for the first time for his tour, including the screening of a never-seen-before episode of his TV “melodrama” Bost’n ’n Dobs’n followed by an unplugged solo set.
