How can I buy a ticket?

Tickets can be purchased online via our What’s On page. Select an event to view performance dates and booking options.

In person
Visit our Box Office counter at 36 New Briggate, Leeds, LS1 6NU, located on the corner of Harrison Street and New Briggate.

Payment methods

We accept all major credit cards (excluding American Express) and Opera North Gift Vouchers. We also accept cash or cheques for bookings made in person.

Where is my confirmation email?

Confirmation emails and Print at Home tickets (if selected) are automatically emailed to you. If you can’t find the email, check your spam folder for the email and add ‘info@operanorth.co.uk’ to your contacts. Print at Home tickets can also be downloaded from your Account online, under the ‘Print at Home Tickets’ section.

We can also resend the confirmation email you, just contact us at boxoffice@operanorth.co.uk

Using your account

To log in, register, or reset your password, follow the Account link on the top left-hand corner of your screen.

Log into your account to amend your contact details and preferences, to download and print tickets, and to access priority booking or membership discounts when purchasing tickets.

Receiving your tickets

Tickets can be sent via email to be printed at home or can be collected from our Box Office counter free of charge. Tickets sent via post incur an delivery fee of £1 and will be sent via 2nd Class post.

Please note e-tickets or mobile tickets are not currently accepted.

Tickets for events not held at Leeds Grand Theatre will be available to collect in advance any time from the Box Office at Briggate, or can be collected on the day from a pop-up box office at the venue 1 hour before the event.

Refunds, exchanges & cancellations

Tickets will not be refunded unless a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place. Tickets can be exchanged for another performance if the original tickets are received by the Box Office at least 1 week before the performance.

Gift Vouchers & Memberships

Gift vouchers and memberships are available to purchase online, in person or over the phone.

Theatre Tokens are also accepted. To redeem, please contact our Box Office directly on 0113 223 3600.

Discounts & Concessions

A £3 discount (excluding weekend performances) is available for Leeds Card holders, and those who are Retired or Over 60.

Discounts are also available for members (and essential companions) of our Community Partners Scheme.


Memberships
Join our Under 30s membership scheme and get £10 tickets for selected Opera North performances. The membership is also available for full time students.

Join our Try It On membership scheme if you’re new to opera and gain access to £20 tickets for your first booking.

Members must be logged into their account for the offer to apply.


Children
A 50% discount for child tickets (aged 18 and under) are available with a full paying adult ticket. To book child tickets, please contact our Box Office directly on 0113 223 3600.

We do not offer retrospective discounts. Please call our Box Office with any queries before proceeding to payment.

Group Bookings

Group discounts are available on price band B – E seats only.

Groups of 10+
A 20% off discount on 10 or more full price tickets is available, including a complimentary seat for the group organiser and free postage on ticket delivery. We offer extended reservation periods, so you can book now, and pay later.

Groups of 30+
All of the benefits listed above are offered, plus up to 15 complimentary programmes and posters or flyers to promote your event are available.

Seating

A range of seating options are available, view our Leeds Grand Theatre seating plan, or take a look at our New to Opera FAQs to find out more.

Seats marked ‘Restricted View’ in the Dress and Upper circles are restricted by a pillar, and in the Balcony are classed as restricted as seats are at an angle. All restricted view seats vary, for further questions contact our Box Office.

If you would prefer seats with more leg room, we recommend not booking seats on the front row of any level, apart from the Stalls.

Programmes

You can pre-order your programme alongside your order either online or directly with our Box Office. Programmes can be collected free of charge, or posted for a £1.50 delivery fee. Pre-ordered programmes will be sent out approximately 1 week before the performance.

Access

We offer a range of services including accessible performances, information in different formats including audio and large-print, accessible versions of our digital content, a Community Partners scheme so you can book online with the relevant discounts (for Leeds venues), and detailed information on the venues so you can plan your visit.
