How can I buy a ticket?

We are sorry that following Government advice on COVID-19, we’re unable to offer bookings in person until further notice.

Phone and email: Mon – Fri, 10am – 6pm
Bank holidays: closed
We accept all major credit cards (except American Express), Opera North Gift Vouchers or Theatre Tokens. We also accept cash or cheques for bookings made in person.
Where is my confirmation email?
Confirmation emails and Print at Home tickets (if selected) are automatically emailed to you. If you can’t find the email, check your spam folder for the email and add ‘email@example.com’ to your contacts. Print at Home tickets can also be downloaded from your Account online, under the ‘Print at Home Tickets’ section.
We can also resend the confirmation email to you, just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Using your account
To log in, register, or reset your password, follow the Account link on the top left-hand corner of your screen.
Log into your account to amend your contact details and preferences, to download and print tickets, and to access priority booking or membership discounts when purchasing tickets.
Receiving your tickets
Print at home tickets
Leeds Grand Theatre: ticket scanners are used on entry, so for events at the Grand Theatre only, print at home tickets can be downloaded to present on a mobile device, or printed out.
Leeds Town Hall and all other venues: print at home tickets must be printed and presented as paper copies
Tickets by post
COVID-19 guidance: tickets will not be posted out until further notice. Tickets are sent via 2nd class post with a delivery fee of £1, and will arrive at least a week before your chosen performance.
Collect tickets from the Box Office
COVID-19 guidance: your tickets will be held with the Box Office until further notice. Tickets can be collected on the day of the performance from a pop-up Box Office at the venue, from one hour before the start of the event.
Refunds, exchanges & cancellations
If a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place, bookers are eligible for a full refund. You may be offered alternative options including credit on your account for a future purchase, gift vouchers, making a donation or supporting the organisation by for example, becoming a member.
COVID-19 refund policy: for Opera North performances in Leeds, if you are instructed to self-isolate over the period of a booked performance, tickets can be exchanged to a future performance. Alternatively we will credit your account for a future purchase – credit can be used within 12 months. If these options are not possible, we will refund your tickets.
Discounts & Concessions
A £2.50 discount (excluding weekend performances) is available for Leeds Card holders, and those who are retired aged over 60.
Join our Under 30s membership scheme and get £10 tickets for selected Opera North performances. The membership is also available for full time students.
Join our Try It ON membership scheme if you’re new to opera and gain access to £20 tickets for your first booking.
Members must be logged into their account for the offer to apply.
Group rates are available Monday-Friday for 20/21 Opera Season as follows:
Groups of 10+ | Eligible for Groups discount
Groups of 20+ | Eligible for Groups discount plus 1 Free organiser ticket
Groups of 30+ | Eligible for Groups discount, 1 Free organiser ticket, plus 15 complimentary programmes
Band B, and Band C tickets |£55 tickets for £47.50 , £42.50 tickets for £35
Band D, and Band E | £30 tickets for £25, £25 tickets for £20
We offer extended holds for our group bookers. Book now, and pay later, giving you the flexibility to adjust group numbers closer to the show, knowing you have secured the best seats. Call our Box Office team to make your reservation.
A 50% discount for up to four children aged 18 and under is available with each adult ticket (excludes Premium and price band G). To book child tickets, please contact our Box Office directly by emailing email@example.com or on 0113 223 3600.
We do not offer retrospective discounts. Please contact our Box Office with any queries before proceeding to payment.
All restricted view seats vary but as a guide, seats marked ‘Restricted View’ in the Dress and Upper circles are generally restricted by a pillar, and in the Balcony because they have a side view of the stage. Box seats also have a side view of the stage and sightlines may be obscured by the sides of the Box. For more information about seating, please contact our Box Office.
If you would prefer seats with more leg room, we recommend not booking seats on the front row of any level, apart from the Stalls.

There is currently limited space for drop off outside the theatre. The nearest taxi rank is just before Harrison Street.

You can pre-order your programme alongside your order, either online or directly with our Box Office. Programmes can be collected free of charge, or posted for a £1.50 delivery fee. Pre-ordered programmes will be sent out approximately 1 week before the performance.
We offer a range of services including accessible performances, information in different formats including audio and large-print, accessible versions of our digital content, an Access Membership Scheme so you can book online with the relevant discounts (for Leeds venues), and detailed information on the venues so you can plan your visit.
People receiving income support, pension credit, job seekers allowance, PIP, ESA or Leeds Card Extra card holders can buy best available tickets for £10 (excludes Dress Circle and Premium/band A tickets)
