2016 sees a brand new production from Opera North with Giordano's Andrea Chénier and two popular revivals: Così fan tutte directed by Tim Albery and Daniel Slater's 1950s inspired L'elisir d'amore.
Pupils from two schools on the Bransholme Estate in Hull will be joining forces with their contemporaries from Leeds and the Orchestra of Opera North to celebrate Christmas in style with a special seasonal concert on Tuesday 8 December involving more than 500 children.
University of Huddersfield alumnus John Rigby returns to the town to conduct the Orchestra of Opera North’s New Year Viennese Whirl concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Wednesday 30 December. The same programme will then be performed at Leeds Town Hall the following day, Thursday 31 December.

This October, Opera North Projects offers audiences in Manchester, Leeds and Gateshead, the chance to rediscover the music of Cole Porter, as cult cabaret trio The Tiger Lillies uncover the delight, despair and delirium that lies beneath the surface of Porter’s more romantic and mysterious works in Love for Sale.
